Demnächst auf Gamefound: „Nameless Land“ von ACES GAMES
Aces Games brachten schon „VHS“ und „Unglorious“ heraus und stürzen sich jetzt auf ein TTRPG inspiriert von Fallout und Mad Max. Man darf gespannt sein, was dabei herauskommt. Die ersten Eindrücke sind doch schon vielversprechend!
Inklusive Solo-Modus kommt das Spiel dann für 1-6 Spieler ab 13 in Englisch und Italienisch heraus. Ferner sind neben dem Hauptspiel auch vier Erweiterungspacks geplant, die dann jeweils einen weiteren Kontinent in der Spielwelt repräsentieren.

Auszüge aus der „Anleitung“:

THE WORLD OF NAMELESS LAND
“Whoever wove the threads of this world didn’t even know how to hold a needle right… this shirt is crooked, dirty, and has burn marks in more than one spot, but it’s the only one we have… and I certainly as fuck won’t let it smother me.”
[Karva-Tek, Cuttercoal sentry]
The year is 2365, 313 years after the fallout. The reason behind the cleansing, as it is called by those who set the world up for destruction, is the conflict between two of the organizations that to this day still aim to rule over what is left of our planet: #Root and the biomachines.
The former, led by Constantine Root since the earliest days of the eighteenth century, sought to build a world in which technology and its gifts were solidly under his worthy servants’ control, instead of being readily available to the unwashed masses.
Constantine claimed that if technology were spread recklessly it would cause great and inevitable destruction. What he wanted was to be the architect of progress and the only one to control the power that would shape the world.
Many years later Constantine died, yet his ideas remained. So much so that #Root members carried out an elaborate plan: they infiltrated all the major organizations of the world, biding their time until they could take control over all technology and reveal themselves as the sole heirs of their master’s blessings.

That day finally came when a scientist named Keval Jagadesh built the first biomechanical grafts, originally developed for medical applications. Unfortunately, due to greed Jagadesh’s work was first implemented for military and then private uses.
The wealthiest armies, governments, and generally all individuals who could then afford them, started to amass grafts of all kinds, many of which were so invasive to the minds and bodies of their users as to cause them to lose touch with their very humanity and forsake any empathy towards their kind.
Protests demanding the ban of grafts soon turned into urban guerrilla between those who despised this new technology and those who instead were completely addicted to it. The fighting eventually spread beyond the borders of individual cities or nations, escalating into a world war.
Constantine Root’s prophecy had turned true: humanity had brought about its destruction by abusing technology… and so the time had come for his followers to take control.

THE PEOPLE OF THE NEW WORLD
“They’ll be here within 24, loaded with weapons and chains to shackle us all, but we can still save ourselves even though all we have for cover is this scrap head. What we have around us isn’t just junk, but weapons and defenses, tools and hiding spaces. Now quit whining and show me what you’re worth. Let’s build our liberty together.”
[Borga Twenty Fingers, guard of the nomadic settlement of Carbovault]
The events that lead to the latest chapter of the world’s story abruptly changed the way the average New Worlder thinks and acts, forcing them to both fear many more things in an ever more
dangerous reality and to seek a deeper understanding of the matters of the world to ensure their own survival.
In these times of wars against time, of iron soldiers ravaging the lands with incessant violence, and of individuals believing they hold our destiny in their own hands, the minds and bodies of humanity are changing to breed a new generation of survivors, the firstborn of the Second Age.
