Lucky Duck Games and HYBR Join Forces to Create “Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy”

A new digital hybrid game, based on a previous hit, will see families working together to match colors and feed cute but huuuungry monsters.

“Lucky Duck Games is delighted to announce that we are partnering with the amazing team at HYBR to release Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy this Fall. The game will be available at Essen SPIEL 2021 with a full retail release following immediately in October/November.

There are strange noises coming from the attic at your grandpa’s summer house. After climbing the stairs, you see colorful and furry Monsters everywhere! They seem to be friendly but are also really hungry! You must feed them whatever you can find. They will eat anything, but what attracts them the most is the color of objects!

Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy (YYMT) is a family-friendly, cooperative card game of color matching and monster feeding for 2-4 players. Your goal in each level is to feed all of the monsters with foods that they like according to the color of their fur.
Players start by placing their device (mobile or tablet) face-up in the middle of the table. Once players choose a level in the app they will be told how many item cards to deal to each player. Monsters will then start to appear on the screen, hungrily looking for their next meal.

In any order, players may choose to feed an item card to a monster by holding the card over the device to scan the QR code on the back of the card. When you feed a monster, you must feed it item cards that combine to make a color similar to the monster’s fur color. If you feed a monster items that make a color that doesn’t match, all players will lose the game!

Any items from toilet plungers to underwear or lost socks to Grandpa’s dentures (oh my!) can be fed to the hungry creatures! The app will let you know if you have fed the monster a good mix of items that make it happy.

Andreas Wilde is the designer of YYMT and also its hugely popular predecessor “Soviet Kitchen Unleashed” – that both share a special color mixing experience. “When we saw children playing our game, we knew that we had something special! Even more than adults, they master the game with ease and joy. YYMT gives these magic moments the appropriate presentation and a funny secondary mechanism. Vitamin Alarm!” said Andreas.

Players can enjoy YYMT in either Story Mode or Party Mode. In Story Mode, you will follow the story and unlock new Locations and items by completing levels. On higher levels, you will also meet new Creatures, some that aren’t even monsters! Some of them have exciting special abilities that provide additional fun challenges. There are some nice learning opportunities in the game as well for younger audiences as the items in the game move from an Attic, to a Forest, and eventually a Museum.

YYMT is suitable for anyone ages 6 and up and is releasing as part of the new Lucky Duck Kids line that is creating games for younger audiences.

Filip Miłuński, Head of Lucky Duck Studio says, “YYMT was a perfect fit for our new Kids line. It is an app augmented game that creates a unique, cooperative experience but is extremely accessible. I must admit that my family is addicted to this gameplay! When a monster chews the items and we wait for the mix of color we created together is a truly magic moment of this game”.

Yummy Yummy Monster Tummy comes with 92 item cards, 12 different story levels, and the app also comes with a fully guided tutorial so players can open the game and begin playing right away. The game will release at SPIEL 2021 and will be published initially in English, French, Polish, and German with more languages to be confirmed. The game has an MSRP of $19.00 USD / 15.99€.”
