“Archona Games announces their next title: Galactic Warlords: Battle for Dominion – is now live on Kickstarter! The game is designed by Babis Giannios, developed by Archona Games and it features fantastic art by the well known “The Mico”.
Galactic Warlords: Battle for Dominion is a card-driven game of tactical deployment and planet control for 2-4 players. Player are playing as the warlords of the galaxy trying to establish their dominion over the once powerful Preiakka Federation region. By hiring different mercenary cards, the players will be able to gain different assets from the mercenaries such as ground troops and they will use those assets in combination of the actions and skills of the mercenaries to influence the planets on the game board. At the end of the game, the players will score points for the different missions of the mercenaries they have accomplished, and the player with the most points is the winner!
“It is a simple to play, yet very deep strategic area control game with lot’s of interesting choices to make each turn.” says the company’s head, Milan Tasevski. “You have multiple paths to victory, where for instance you can focus on the reputation and try to rush an early victory, go with maintaining control over the valuable planets or just play a balanced strategy and try to score optimally on each end.”
“The initial concept of the game that we got from the designer was a really solid foundation, which paved our way to make the experience for the players even more thematic, fun and engaging. We are so excited for the game! Working with The Mico on the art and Francesco Orru on the miniatures was a great experience as well!”
