Lucky Duck Games to Partner with Cephalofair Games for Frosthaven Companion App
Publishers collaborate to bring innovative digital gameplay support to one of the most highly anticipated board games.
“Lucky Duck Games is delighted to announce that they are partnering with Cephalofair Games to develop an app to assist with stat tracking and combat upkeep for Cephalofair’s highly anticipated sequel to Gloomhaven, Frosthaven.
With a wealth of experience in the video game industry, our leadership team at Lucky Duck Games have spent the last five years truly innovating how apps can be integrated into and improve the board game experience. We have produced a line of digital-hybrid games such as Chronicles of Crime and Destinies, and our excited to bring our skillset in digital innovation into a partnership with Cephalofair. One of our core tenets is that app-assisted games should bring people together, not isolate them on their phones, and so we are very excited to develop an app that will best serve Frosthaven player experience as well as functionality.
The goal is to release a Frosthaven app that supports full in-combat character, summon, monster, ally, and objective tracking, initiative order tracking, as well as manages loot, monster abilities, and monster/ally attack modifier draws. Our hope is to streamline the combat process as much as possible so that players can spend as little time in game upkeep and as much time as possible engaged in the world of Frosthaven. After the Frosthaven app is released, we will also take on the tasks of reimagining a Gloomhaven companion app, to bring everything under one roof as well as to improve the gaming experience for Gloomhaven players.”
