New board game: “Galaxy of Trian: New Order”
“Galaxy of Trian: New Order is a dynamic, tile-based board game in which player takes control over one of the eight powerful races. You are fighting for the heritage of Trian – an ancient race that travel through galaxy since the dawn of time.
Game contains beautiful, double-sided tiles. With these tiles, players must build galaxy full of nebulae, planetary systems and gas clouds. Game takes place in turn-based system. Each player has its own set of units which can be used during the game: emissaries, research stations and space stations, two types of ships (rogues and corvettes) and ability tokens. Planetary systems can be further upgraded and nebulae are sources of minerals that can be used for race abilities. With Corvettes you can block development of enemy planetary systems. Rogues, thanks to integrated extractors, can harvest from nebulae (even from enemy nebulae and uncontrolled ones). Instead of points, the game uses currency system – credits.
Goal of the game is to gain as many credits as you can.
New Order brings two imporant game mechanics that makes the game even more exciting.
The first one is race abilities. Each race has its own, uniqe set of skills. With that in mind, each race has its own advantages and weakness.
The second one is battle system. Each battle in New Order takes place with the help of dice. However, you can also use battle tokens (that you can gain during gameplay) which can help you and your luck. With battle tokens, result of fight does not depend solely on dice anymore. There are two types of battle tokens: first one grants you possibility to make a reroll and second one gives you +1 to your roll result. You can also outnumber your enemy to gain tactical advantage in battle.
Each player has 27, high quality minis that represents his resources. We have wanted to make an even more readable game so we’ve designed minis that can be combined into one.
Kickstarter version of the game will contain:
112 double sided tiles and wooden rack
216 detailed minis
10 high quality, printed pouches
8 race cards
8 dice
60 credit tokens
22 battle tokens
24 ability tokens
132 crystals – 120 normal crystals and 12 big crystals
The box with the game will weigh more than 4 kg!
During the kickstarter campaign there will be stretch goals. Stretch goals will include even better elements of the game, for example: unique, custom dice or upgraded credit tokens that will be actually made from metal.
