Triton Noir will showcase both V-Commandos and Assassin’s Creed®: Brotherhood of Venice at SPIEL’18

“The independent board game studio Triton Noir, founded by Thibaud de la Touanne in Montreal, will be at SPIEL’18, the international board game convention held in Essen (Germany) from October 25th to 28th. On a booth full of colors and surprises (Hall 5, A117), the publisher will showcase the brand-new cooperative game they recently revealed, Assassin’s Creed®: Brotherhood of Venice, as well as their first and successful tabletop title V-Commandos.

Act of resistance for V-Commandos…
After a successful launch that led to several stock shortages, especially in Europe, V-Commandos is back on stage. Triton Noir announced a second print run for its expansion V-Commandos: Résistance, as of beginning of 2019. The game will then be available again in many territories, both online and in stores.
At SPIEL’18, the Triton Noir team will do some game signing, and the base game, the other expansion V-Commandos: Secret Weapons, storage bags for game components and Kickstarter bonus Packs (only sold on conventions like this one) will be available in a dedicated V-Commandos shop.

Assassins quite visible at SPIEL!
Building up on a partnership with Ubisoft Montreal and a solid knowledge of the Assassin’s Creed universe, Triton Noir has been working on Assassin’s Creed®: Brotherhood of Venice for months. In Essen, the publisher will let players try a prototype version, and will showcase miniatures of the game, unveiling new characters during the show!
Backstage: a game made just for the fans
On November 13th, Triton Noir will launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund this new game, which has been developed by, with and for the fans. “Both those who are in love with Assassin’s Creed and the tactical infiltration board games enthusiasts”, Thibaud de la Touanne said. “The trust between our team and Ubisoft allows us to be creative too, which is, to me, very rare in a license deal.”

“Triton Noir is made up of former Ubisoft people that we have known for years”, Transmedia & Business Development Director at Ubisoft Aymar Azaïzia explained. “They created a first game, V-Commandos, that was unanimously hailed by fans and critics. Stealth mechanics and the historical truth it relies on have made the game truly great, kind of mirroring the experiences we develop in video games.”

From the moment the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice project was initiated, Triton Noir has been capturing footage to invite everyone backstage. A first video will be available soon.”
