THE PIT: THE BOARD GAME IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR TABLETOP SIMULATOR
“Kerberos Productions, the makers of the classic 4X Space game Sword of the Stars, have released a complete version of their new tabletop project The Pit: The Board Game, for Table Top Simulator.
“It’s a virtual version of a tabletop version of a video game,” says COO Chris Stewart. “Which makes it super meta. Like game karaoke. On a more serious note, though…we’re excited about the virtual version of the board game and we are happy to let people play it for free. The blurring of the lines between virtual worlds and physical components is getting really interesting, and the possibilities are really endless. Twitch streamers who love board games can go pretty crazy with this.”
The Pit: The Board Game is a sci-fi dungeon crawler for 1-4 players. Based on the popular indie roguelike game for PC, the board game is now 90% funded in its final week on Kickstarter. Featuring cooperative play, hundreds of cards and components, custom dice and a miniatures based on the characters of the original video game, the game is accessible to players of all ages. The TableTop Simulator version of The Pit: The Board Game is a full virtual model of the Base Game.
The Pit Board Game Kickstarter offers a Base Game with four custom miniatures, 32 custom dice, over 700 cards, and a variety of other game pieces for CAN$65, a little over USD $50 or €42. The full collection of 3D print files for all Character and Monster miniatures for the game, over 30 3D Characters in all, can be added to the Base Game for $150 CAN (approximately USD $116 or €100.”
