“Cover Me” on Kickstarter
“We had doubts for a long time to throw our models in the heavy competition with zombies, orcs, knights, dwarfs, dragons and other creatures you see traditionally in successful Kickstarter
campaigns, but finally we decided to take our chances and go for it. Our theme, the predicting and setting the trends in fashion, and style of the game is something you aren’t used to see and we hope to create a breath of fresh air in the Kickstarter tabletop scene.
In our original vision we had 162 unique models prepared and we already stretched our budget with this. Afterwards we also created a 3D catwalk that also can be used as an inlay to store your cards after playing and we also added a public next to the catwalk to make the game even more visually appealing.
These additional elements really stretched our budget and as a result we’ll have to search for additional funds on Kickstarter to publish this deluxe version of the game.
Because we are even in Belgium and The Netherlands a relatively unknown company we certainly are completely unknown in the world and we know it won’t be an easy task. We’ll have to do our best to put the game in the picture through different channels and we hope you also show interest in our project. If you want to spread the word we’ll really appreciate this and if you need additional materials or if you have any questions we’ll be ready to help you.
We also decided to give the backers who support us during the campaign a free acrylic starting player pawn that will be very scarce afterwards and also won’t be given away for free in the future. Because we also think Kickstarter is a fundraising project to realize our game and not a profit making project. We decided to subsidize shipping as good as we can. If a backer still has to pay shipping this would be because we would be in a loss if we would fully drop the shipping charges.
