A 3 to 5 players mafia game with hidden agenda, lots of engraved dice and dice placement.
“Designer Shin Wong has put together an interactive game centered around the race to be the dominant mob boss in the fictional city of Scarpizo by bribing your way, amassing an army of henchmen or accumulating wealth through illegal means. The game uses a refreshing mechanics which requires players to roll the customised dice in bid for actionable plans. Similar to how mob bosses get the job done in the underworld through their henchmen, the rolled dice are controllable using the abilities from players’ soldati (first level in the mafia hierarchy) to gain an upper hand in gaining supremacy.
Devising a winning strategy in Lawless Empire requires more than just a good roll. An element of deduction is incorporated into the game whereby players have to deduce other players’ hidden roles in order to stand a chance to win the game. Inviting the wrong player to assist you in running your illegal syndicates will definitely cost you some points at the end of the game. In addition, players are required to play a well-rounded game in order to strike a balance between gaining deduction information, amassing soldati abilities and controlling illegal syndicates.

Lawless Invasion is the expansion set that will be bundled together with the base set in the Kickstarter campaign. The plot unfolds against the backdrop of an invasion of the city of Scarpizo by a new Yakuza clan that has the intention of taking over all of Scarpizo’s vices. Lawless Invasion features 8 new soldati and 8 new scheme cards to increase the re-playability of the base set. In addition, it comes together with an infusion of Japanese artwork to immerse gamers in a gang war of epic proportion between the Yakuza and the Mafia.”
